Do I need a custom domain name to use Viewbook?

You can try and setup your Viewbook website on yourname.viewbook.com. If you like you can keep running it on yourname.viewbook.com, but if you like to run it on your custom domain name (only possible with the Pro plan) you can change the settings of your domain name and point it to your Viewbook account. If you had it pointed to another website, it will then be disconnected from your old site.

Can I use my current domain name for my Viewbook site?

If you can access and change the DNS settings of your domain name then you can point it to your Viewbook site. If your current registrar doesn't offer these options then you'll need to move it to another registrar to make this possible. For more on this click here

Do I still need to pay for hosting at my hosting company?
Because Viewbook is a hosted service you don't need any other hosting package for your site and images anymore. Most hosting companies offer the option to just have your domain name and your e-mail there, which saves you costs.

Can I run different custom domain names in one Pro account?
No. With the Pro account you can create as many sites as you want, but you can only run one custom domain name on a Pro account. So your main site goes on yourname.com, your second on yourname.com/weddings, etc.. If you want a second site on a completely different custom domain then you'll need a second Pro account. We can offer 15% discount on a second account.
