This article describes all the steps needed to use the Viewbook Portfolio for iPad App. If you have any additional questions or want to report an error, please mail feedback@viewbook.com.

1. Viewbook Account
If you don't have a Viewbook account, sign up for a free trial here.

Login to the Image Manager and upload your images. For more info about the Image Manager, please see this article.
2. Get the free Viewbook Portfolio App for iPad
Get the free Viewbook Portfolio App for iPad in the App Store.
3. Login
Enter your username and password in the Login screen.
4. All Albums

When logged in, you arrive at the 'All Albums' screen. Here you see all your Viewbook albums created in the Image Manager. Swipe to the right to see additional albums. Tap on the album image to view the album.
You can instantly download them with the Download button, or drag them to the 'New Portfolio' tab. If you change an album within the Image Manager, you can synchronise the album within the app with the Sync button.
You can view all downloaded albums also when there is no internet connection available.
5. Galleries

When clicking an album, you enter the Gallery viewer.
Tap on the image to hide captions, buttons and the iPad top bar.
Swipe left or right, or tap the arrow buttons to browse through the images.
Tap 'more' on the right side of the description text to read the full image description.
Tap the 'Play' button to activate Slideshow mode.
Tap 'Back' to return to the album overview.
Gallery Options
The gallery viewer has multiple functionalities:
Grid view![]()
By selecting the thumbnails icon in the viewer, a thumbnail overview will appear.
Exporting and sharing
By tapping the 'Export' button, various exporting and sharing options appear.
6. Creating Portfolio folders

You can create collections of albums within Portfolio Folders. To create, arrange, edit the name or delete a Portfolio Folder, tap the '+' button in the top right corner. Then, tap 'Add new' to create a folder. You can create endless amounts of portfolio folders, as the portfolio tabs navigation can scroll horizontally.
Change the name of the folder by tapping the name.
Arrange the folders with the grip on the right.
You can also hide a Portfolio by tapping the eye icon in the list.
Delete a Portfolio by tapping the red delete icon.
Tap 'Done' when you want to save and close the Portfolio menu.
7. Edit Mode
You can edit the album poster images and arrangement of albums within a portfolio with Edit Mode. Tap the pencil icon in the top right corner to activate it.
Hold an album and drag it to rearrange albums.
Select 'Edit Image' to adjust the cropping of the album poster image. Pinch to enlarge and reduce the size of the image. Tap the arrow buttons to select a different image within the album.
8. The Settings Menu

The settings menu offers the following functionalities:
Log Out
The App will return to the login screen. All your data won't be affected by logging out. You can also login as a different user, which again doesn't affect the data which you created previously within a different account.
Customize Display Name
You can customize the name in the top left corner here.
Presentation Mode
By enabling Presentation mode, the 'All Albums' tab and Edit buttons will be hidden. When handing the iPad over to a client, he will not be able to change the portfolio or see portfolio's you want to keep private.
Cleanup
Cleanup deletes albums that are downloaded but aren't used in portfolio folders.
Additional Info
Viewbook Portfolio for iPad works both in landscape and portrait mode.
