You can register or *move your domain name to a domain name registrar. For example iwantmyname.com, register.com, namecheap.com, name.com or any other party.
Once your domain name is registered or moved you can point it to Viewbook. iwantmyname.com offers an easy one-click option to point your domain to your Viewbook account. At other registrars you'll have to edit the DNS settings to point your domain to your Viewbook account. You can find the instructions here.
If you need any help with the configuration of your domain name, send us an email. We're happy to take a look for you.
*You as the domain name holder, can move your domain to any party you want. This can be initiated by yourself at the new party.

I have an account with IPOWER and three domain names - I want Viewbook to be my new web provider. I was instructed to downgrade my account so that the domains are just registered under IPOWER but my websites will be hosted by Viewbook (I bought a Pro account). I was instructed by Ipower to get nameservers from Viewbook so that the domains could be redirected. The nameservers are supposed to look like:
ns1.something.com
ns2.something.com
Please help!

Karuna, if IPOWER supports editing the DNS settings of your domain names you must use their Nameservers. You can find the instructions for pointing your domain name to Viewbook here: http://support.viewbook.com/entries/53666-can-i-use-my-own-domain-n...
If you need any help with this, just send a support request.
Are we allowed to have more than one Custom Domain?
You can only point one domain name to one Viewbook account at the moment.
This may be a silly question but I want to buy a domain name from iwantmyname.com but I'm not sure if it includes an email address? If it doesn't is this something you offer with the web hosting?
I'm not sure if iwantmyname.com supports e-mail, but you can create a free Google Apps account to get your e-mail on your (iwantmyname.com) domain. We're happy to help you out with this.
Thanks Rien. I've bought a domain name from iwantmyname and trying to install Google Apps but it's asking me to add a DNS record to my domain's configuration and annoyingly iwantmyname isn't an option in the drop down menu. Please you pls help!
My site is now ready to live but i'm on a trial version of Pro, is this OK?
Thanks for all your help!
Christelle, great. Just send us a support request and we'll help you out.
