Available in: Standard and Pro account
If you have a Standard or Pro account you can add your custom logo to your pages.
1. Upload your logo to Viewbook (in one of your albums). The default Viewbook logo is 342 pixels wide and 78 pixels high, if you stick close to this size your logo will display fine.
2. Once the upload is ready click the image.
3. The right side panel opens, showing your image with the option to add a title and description. It also shows 3 links to your image. Click the one that is called 'original'. It opens in a new browser window.
4. Copy the link, from you web browser address bar.
5. Open your page in the Image Manager and paste the link into the logo input field (including the 'http://' part).
6. Open your page to see the result (or reopen your page in the Image Manager).
You can also copy paste a URL to your image from another server.
Logo dimensions
The dimensions of the logo (or space for your logo) differ for each logo position. The height of the logo is always 98 pixels.
If your logo is on the left, the available width is 270 pixels.
If your logo is on the right, the available width is 340 pixels.
If your logo is on the top, the available width is 300 pixels.
Color Picker
If you need to match colors, you could try this color picker

Im a little stuck.
I understand how to upload as per this info, but I dont know how to start even preparing a logo?
Is a self made logo / name in Photoshop required? I cant get a logo designed so need to tackle this myself.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks
Elaine - making a logo in photoshop is exactly what I did. See www.willbartonphotography.com
Hi, i'm trying to match the background color of the logo, currently the site is set to black but if i make my logo background black it is obviously darker than the site's "black"...
just wondering if you have the colour #1c1c1c looks pretty close but u can still see a box
Thanks :)
nevermind...its only off on my monitor for some reason...its fine on other monitors
So now I have this image in one of my galleries, seems it would be easier to just have an upload link to that spot on the page?
I'm using a trial version of a Standard account, but for some reason I am only given the option of my logo to appear in the top RIGHT corner of my page... what gives? I want it in the top LEFT, which is the most intuitive place for it to be anyway... why is this not an option? Am I just missing some obvious step?
You need the Pro account for this. I'll change your tria right now.
Save and upload your logo using extension PNG not jpeg when designing it !
This way you don't have to match the background !
Hi guys! Is it possible to have a taller logo than 98 pixels?
Yes you can put a logo in a background image and make it as large as you want. You will lose the logo link to home though. See also http://viewbook.zendesk.com/entries/77363-how-do-i-add-a-background-image-to-my-page
HI Alrik, thanks for the reply! Sounds like a good workaround, although it might not fall exactly where I want to in different screen size. Oh well, I hope you're adding this into the upcoming updates!
Will we be able to add a larger logo in V3, i have a circle for my logo and its a bit on the small size, need more height?
Yes this will be possible in Viewbook V3!
Hi people,
I'm trying to upload my logo to my viewbook page but I can't. I've checked every step you mention, but when I paste the link of the image into the logo field and open the web again, nothing happens (I mean, the image doesn't appear)
Would you help me, please?
Thanks
Caro
Does anyone know why when I upload my logo it takes for ever.. then once its uploaded I click on the right side of the page to get the info to post it to another page, and now all I see is grey and dark grey stripes like its loading, but nothing is happening? It worked fine the frist time, but was too big, so I resized it, and now it does nothing??
Is there going to be a better way to add a logo in the future? I understand that inorder to make it a hyper link to your home page it can not be static image upload, but there has go to be something better then this? ?
Please send a support request if you haven't already. Thanks!
Adding a logo will be much, much easier in Viewbook V3.
How do I get my logo to act as a link back to my home page?
If you set your page as homepage in the page settings your logo will link to the homepage automatically.
What is al logo input field?
Hi Marcel, you'll find the logo input field in the edit bar above you page in the editor, it's under the 'background and logo' tab.
i have desinged a logo but cant get it to fit in the logo area perfectly, what size does it need to be so its a decent size????
hello, I have the same problem as Alex Pandel + some other arrangements in layout. Can you please change me to Pro, so that I can experience all your advantages ?
any respond?
Hello Emma, I just switched your trial to Pro so now you can choose which layout, left, top or right you want. For the quickest help best e-mail to support@viewbook.com
Logo placement and matching background problems seem to be a consistent theme here. There has to be a simpler way. Yes?
Dave, if you send us a support request we can help you out to make them match.
Why can I not resize the logo box itself? If I resize my logo it completely makes it unuseabale!
Robert, you could also consider using a background image as a logo, might give you a bit more freedom:

hello, I have a problem with google, maybe has to do with the inclusion of the logo.
when I search for my site on google the title does not exist (add title)
how can I do to fix?

vito.
Hi Vito,
When did you add the title to your site? When you add the title in Viewbook it isn't immediately beamed to Google HQ. It takes time, and the Google bots need to find you first. Give it a few months.
Also, I don't think this has anything to do with your logo.
I Just searched you on Google, and the listing I see is precisely what is in your Google description in your account. See the attached picture.
Best,
Jim
Hello, I need to add an ETSY icon to my homepage, I want to advertise my ETSY store on my website. Could you help me please?
Hi Beatriz,
This is not the appropriate thread for your request, but you could try using the same code as above with one of these. Upload one (or both of them) to an album. Get the URL for the image, and paste it in the first section. The second section will have your account link.
